The new partnership will focus on supporting and growing BADU’s Centre of Excellence program.
London, England, Sept. 6, 2023 – BADU and Nutrabolt are proud to announce a new collaborative partnership to support BADU’s continuous social impact on the London-Hackney community. This relationship will accelerate the community’s access to future-proof sporting activities, mentorship, and employment opportunities that ultimately support individuals’ aspirations to be a part of the sports industry.
“We are delighted to partner with Nutrabolt – a global, active health and wellness company that shares our vision of empowering our community to create an equal field for all. Nutrabolt is the Human Performance Company providing premier brands for athletes around the world, and an industry leader who understands that staying ahead of the game means innovating through equal opportunity,” said Nana Badu, BADU Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Founded in 2008, BADU is a Black-led, non-profit community interest organization that drives social change by using sport and mentoring as tools to empower, educate, and uplift young people and their families in the London community. BADU bridges the gap between what society has predetermined, and what the true potential of the individuals, families, and community are capable of achieving. BADU’s inclusive, trusted, and first-class sports programs are used as an engagement vehicle for all generations. They have produced some of the country’s finest athletes – several of whom have progressed onto compete in the elite divisions.
On Aug. 11, Nutrabolt and BADU celebrated the exciting new relationship with a service event where Nutrabolt’s Europe team volunteered with young people to support BADU’s annual sports camps. This event served as an anchor for Nutrabolt’s first-ever global day of service where teammates across the world volunteered 1,490 hours for more than 60 charities.
“We’re excited to partner with an amazing organization in BADU. At Nutrabolt, we believe in maximizing human potential, and making it accessible to all. And we do that through our brands and products, but also through the causes we support. BADU is more than worthy of our support. What they do in the London community is admirable, and I’m proud to support them wholeheartedly. Through our collaboration, we hope to make a positive impact on as many young people as possible, and help them reach their maximum potential through equal opportunity,” said Chris Terry, Nutrabolt’s Europe Vice President & General Manager.
Nutrabolt is a global leader in active nutrition and better-for-you performance beverages, known and trusted by millions of active individuals and people looking to optimise performance in all aspects of life. The company’s portfolio includes industry-leading sports nutrition brands: Cellucor®, C4®, and XTEND®.
United by its mission to maximize human potential, a strong set of core values, and its ‘grow and give back’ mantra – the company cares deeply for our people, planet, and communities it serves. At Nutrabolt, all teammates take ownership in creating a healthy environment that promotes strong bodies, clear minds, and a culture of respect and belonging for all.
BADU’s Centre of Excellence Program
The partnership will focus on supporting and growing BADU’s Centre of Excellence (COE). COE programming is dedicated to growing and increasing participation in sports for the most underserved groups within their community, providing them with safe spaces and opportunities to play elite and grassroots sports, while offering hard and soft skills training to complement their journey through mentorship and employment opportunities, with a primary focus on women and girls leadership. The COE programming occurs in London with ambitions to establish a physical space by 2025.
Collaborating with BADU, Nutrabolt will bring its expertise in nutrition, innovation, and maximizing human potential to accelerate social impact and increase professional growth opportunities of participants.
